PC Engine Review: Deden No Den (Far East of Eden Bomberman)
Publisher: Hudson Soft
Genre: Puzzle/Party
Game Type: PCE Super CD

Hasn’t everyone heard of Bomberman? Not only is it one of the best party games EVER made, but it’s on nearly every platform, thanks to Hudson! Bomberman is a great series, and has many incarnations that haven’t reached American shores. One of the rarest is Deden No Den (Far East of Eden Bomberman).

If you’ve played Bomberman ’94 for the PC Engine or Atomic Bomberman for Genesis, then you’ve played Deden No Den. It’s basically the same game. However, Deden Non Den was not released for sale in Japan. It was a promotional item only, and therefor is very rare and hard to find. Promotional games, especially for the PCE Engine are usually uncomon at best. While easier to get than the Dracula X Special Edition huCard, DeDen No Den is still quite rare.

The only differences between Deden No Den and Bomberman ’94 are the CD quality music and the replacement of the classic Bomberman figures with the equally classic Far East of Eden characters. If you are a fan of Bomberman or Far East of Eden..then this game is well worth picking up. If you’re a fan of both you may wet yourself!

I had to keep a copy of this game for myself, because I couldn’t stop playing it. It really is the best version there is of Bomberman, and damn cool looking to boot. If you have a Duo or a PC Engine/CDROM….you owe it to yourself to get this game.
