News:
A much anticipated turn of events
brings drama to the Hall of
Fame. As expected, Adrienne Cass now leads with her talented pinto Oldenburg
stallion Hall Decked Out. He excelled this weekend, garnering 823 points.
In second comes a newcomer:
Zetta Stiles with Bohemian Rhapsody. The piebald Gypsy Vanner mare by The Gypsy
King won an amazing 820 points at her first show. Way to go Zetta!
Loving Flame, a 10 year old
Morab mare owned and ridden by Paul McCartney made a name for herself this
weekend, earning 812 by the end of the day, settling sweetly into position
number three.
The spectacular Swedish Warmblood stallion
Way to Fly, is owned and ridden by Colleen O'Connor, a new face around Pines
County. They settled for 580 points and earned a nice place at number four.
In fifth we have the familiar faces of
Royal Blue Diamond and Jill Taylor. They rode hard to finish strongly with
549 points.
Chocolat Noir, AKA Hero, a black Selle
Francois stallion owned by Nate Taylor, came out with Jill as a hunter and
won many classes to finish with 522 points and in sixth place, respectively.
Stylish, an Oldenburg mare who is the full
sister to Daylight's Vega, came out to show for the first time under Jill
Taylor and came home with 490 points and finished in seventh place. Now
leased out to Colleen O'Connor, Stylish, AKA Diana, is now pregnant with a
foal by Chocolat Noir.
In a disappointing eighth place comes Bravo
Maestro MST, a 17 year old bay Westfalen stallion. He rallied hard, placing
4th in both of his Dressage classes and first in his Grooming &
Conditioning class, but he showed stiffness and soreness in his movements.
His fairytale journey has come to an official end. "He'll now be
focused strictly on breeding and enjoying life now." Owner and rider
Jill Taylor reported. He finished with 497 points.
Perhaps the horse to take Maestro's place
is the big chestnut stallion named Daylight's Vega. An Oldenburg by
Donnerhall, the 13 year old stallion, who is owned by Nate Taylor, won his
Advanced Freestyle class and placed 2nd in his Advanced Dressage Class. He
is now in ninth place with 386 points.
Bravo Captiva MST, the daughter of Maestro,
finished tenth with 320 points. It was her first time at the Advanced level.
She is now in foal to Olympic Fervesco for a 2004 foal.
Olympic Fervesco had a horrible Advanced
Dressage test and was really never able to recover. He earned 275 to be in
11th place.
Beauvalais 9, a 20 year old Chestnut
Hanoverian gelding by Bolero, was the Olympic Gold Medallist at the 1996
& 2000 Olympic Games. He is on his retirement tour and came to Pines
County with owner and rider, Martina Wertmann. For being such an old guy, he
finished well in the 3 classes he entered, winning 245 points and 12th
place.
The Irish Way, an Irish Thoroughbred mare
owned by Colleen O'Connor, ends up finishing in 13th place with 240 points.
The son of Maestro, Bravo Miraflores MST
won a few classes this weekend, finishing in 14th with 195 points.
And last but not least, Wittgenstein I, a
bay Hanoverian stallion by World Cup I, was ridden by Martina Wertmann to a
first place in the Advanced Dressage class but plummetted to 6th in the
Advanced Dressage Freestyle. He ends up with 130 points and 15th place on
the Hall of Fame.
