Tomorrow Brings A Brand New Day

6/20/03 Wow....I've really been slacking on my job! I mean REALLY slacking. But if you knew everything I was going through you'd understand. Life has been hell the past year. You can read all about by reading the latest couple of entries in my diary at diaryland.com. Just go to search and type in "dregnebula"....that's my user name. Anyway, on with the Goo;
I'm assuming you've all seen the Sympathy video.....it's great. I really liked it, although I wish they'd had more Robby and Mike in it. I know it probably makes since to focus on Johnny since he's really the only part in the song (except a few other instrumentalists) but still, I like to see my 3-piece Goo. I recognized some of those casinos and lights, I went to Las Vegas last summer. It's pretty righteous. Now to some magazines.......; There are some Sympathy guitar tabs in the July 7, 2003 issue of Guitar World Acoustic. It has Kurt Cobain on the cover. Also, there's a picture of Robby playing in concert in a Yamaha ad in the 2004 Guitar Guide Magazine. It says Yamaha Goo at the top of the page (with Goo in the old red Superstar Car Wash logo) and at the bottom it has some interesting facts. This is what it says;
the 411
ride: 72 VW Karmann Ghia
sidekick: Gus the Cat
favorite hang: Spring in buffalo, ny
secret passion: PEZ
favorite time: Saturday morning cartoons
expression: Yamaha BB1000MA
Although I don't think pez is a secret passion of Robby's.....it may be a passion but it's not secret. Welp, that's all the Goo I have for you today, considering I'm way behind on my Goo. So send me any information or what-not anytime. Bye bye....................

5/2/03 Hey guys. Not much going on here. I just added some dates to the TV page but that's about it. I'm currently working on a gallery and a band biography....the biography will be the first new addition to the site and then I'll be adding a "Songs Page". It's where you talk about a particular Goo song.....it can be your favorite Goo song or just one that means a lot to you. You can tell me anything you like about....you can tell me what it means to you, how it's affected you, why it's your favorite, or anything. Just send your song contributions to me, I'd really appreciate it! I only have a couple and I'd like to have a few more before I put the page up. I am working on the gallery but angelfire is being so screwed up these days.....it's driving me insane! Oh well, I'm still doing my best. Also, you might want to get in on the contest that's recently running on the Contest Page, because the deadline is almost up. Some pretty cool prizes you really shouldn't miss out on. Good luck!

4/27/03 Hey guys....not much new today. I went to Atlanta this weekend and yesterday afternoon my dad, my little brother, my dad's parents, and I went to Chili's. Chili's was playing this rock radio station, I think it was called 99X....and it played Smash!!! Yay!!! It was pretty cool! Anyway, that's all I have to say for now, so I'll see you later!

4/25/03 Hey guys....got several things for you today! First of all, I know I've mentioned a while ago that Johnny Rzeznik is contributing to the YardBird's first album in 35 years....which was released on April 22. Well, here's something new; The World of Goo and Klew Media are running a contest for a chance to win the YardBirds new CD or a biographical book of the band signed by Chris Dreja and Jim McCarty. 3 CD's and one book are being offered and the contest runs from today (April 25) to May 25. Click here to send your entry! I've added this information to the Contest Page as well as some information about a contest from NBC 10 Time Out for a chance to win tickets to see Bon Jovi and The Goo Goo Dolls Saturday, July 25, at Vet Stadium!

Thanks Hush Puppy! Now I've got some things for you! There's an article about the Dale Earnhardt Tribute Concert at Dale Earnhardt Inc.. The Goo Goo Dolls are playing at the concert (as well as other artists such as Hootie and the Blowfish, Sheryl Crow, Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, and double platinum artist Kenny Chesney). The Concert will be held June 28 in Mooresville, North Carolina and tickets went on sale March 22. Also, I've added the new dates to the Tour Dates Page. And make sure you read this nice little review about the Bon Jovi/Goo Goo Dolls show at Tiger Jam on Saturday, April 19 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas at Las Vegas's Review Journal. The concert, put on by Tiger Woods, was a fund-raiser for children's charities in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Now enjoy! And come back!!!!!!!!

4/19/03 I've added 3 new dates to the Tour Dates Page. They're set for May, June, and July....all on Saturdays. And they're all for NASCAR. Sounds pretty cool. There's a nice little review (one of which I really like) at Pop Music and Nightlife. It's a review of the show in the Key Arena, Seattle Center and it has a cool photo too! You should also read this cool phone interview with Robby at Maximum Ink Music. I went to a Pearl Jam concert last night....they were pretty good. It was in Nashville at the AmSouth Amphitheater. I saw the Goo Goo Dolls there in September. They were better than Pearl Jam....they interacted with the fans more and they moved around a lot more. They really got into it and Pearl Jam seemed to act more like performing was a job instead of having fun. I'm sure the distance from the stage affected my view too. I was in Section 10 at the Pearl Jam concert and at the Goo concert I was in third row. This couple in front of us were smoking and the ushers (or whatever you call them) came by and told them to stop. The ushers told them to stop like 4 times after that and the 4th time they came, they made the couple leave. So my sister and I moved up to their seats! This bitch girl who had been sitting beside us got jealous that we moved up and she kept saying to her boyfriend; "they can't do that, they can't do that" and my sister turned around and told her; "shut the fuck up". And she shut up! The whole concert she kept arguing with her boyfriend and hanging all over him and he told her to stop and watch the show and she got all mad at started yelling at him. And she got jealous when Pearl Jam let the opening band (which was an all-girl band) come out and sing a few songs with them. She was like; "oh my god! they can't sing! stupid girls! they don't deserve to be up there with them." The girls were actually good. I liked them better than Pearl Jam. There were 3 of them and they were sort of grunge-ish type rock. The lead singer (who also played rhythm guitar) kind of reminded me of a clean version of Courtney Love. You have to know, I LOVED Courtney and her band Hole before they released Celebrity Skin! I mean, I liked Celebrity Skin okay, but it was kind of like they sold out. But I know their music changed so dramatically because of Kurt's death. It really screwed Courtney up (although she did get sober). Anyway, the band was great. I really liked the lead guitarist....she was so fucking awesome! They didn't have a bass player though.....but they still rocked. They were called Sleater-Kinney....I'm gonna get their album. It was pretty fun. I'm gonna go though because Angelfire's screwing with me. See ya later!

4/14/03 Hey guys! I have two concert reviews for you. They're both pretty small bits about the Goos, but one of them has photos and the other is just worth mentioning, I think. OCRegister has a review of the April 9 show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and azcentral has a review of the April 7 show at the America West Arena in Emmanuel Lozano/The Arizona Republic, along with some cool photos.
Thanks Hush Puppy! Remember guys....Hush Puppy is currently running the second contest at String of Goo so go to the Contest Page to win some cool Goo prizes!!! Also go to googoodolls.com to win an even better prize.....an autographed Fender!!!! It's easy too....all you have to do is send your name and password and your automatically in the drawing! Now, I wanted to tell you about this commercial I saw. It was for a Micro Hit Clip Player by Tiger Electronics and each includes 1 special micro mix. The player plays all Tiger Hit Clips Micro Music. Each micro mix is a single by selected artists, including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and more. The Goo Goo Dolls are one of them! I thought that was really cool, they were the only real band they had on the commercial. You can go here to order a player. If the Goo Goo Dolls clip doesn't come with the player you ordered, you can go to Wal-Mart, Target, or any store that sells Tiger Toys and buy the clip separately. I watched my new Music In High Places; Goo Goo Dolls In Alaska video yesterday.....it was awesome! I saw it when it came on MTV but the video had special features at the end. It was so funny! It's definately the best appearance they've done!!!! If you don't have it, I advise you get it! It's the best and it's well worth it! I'm gonna get it on DVD too....when I get around to going to Media Play or Best Buy. My little brother has a Music In High Places DVD with Collective Soul on it. I forgot where they went....some desert somewhere. I'll have to get back to you on that. As of now I'm working on that gallery and in the next few days there should be a Songs page up, so keep checking back. And send some contributions. Look below at the later updates to see how. Thanks!!!! And Robby.........you get better!!!!!! Love ya!

4/13/03 Hey guys....just wanted to let you know that I've added an award that I won from Star Pages for reaching 50 votes from fans (although it's up to 80 now). Go take a look and keep on voting for String of Goo. I'm still working on that gallery....so look forward to that. See ya....................

4/11/03 Well, guys, I've got TONS of stuff for you today!!! First off, I want to apologize for not being able to update on the 1 year anniversary of the release of the Goo Goo Dolls seventh album, Gutterflower, which was released April 9, 2002. I was extremely sick. If you go to Diaryland and search for the user "dregnebula", you can read what's been going on with me. I've been under a lot of stress because my parents are getting divorced and my mom took pills (just a few of the things going on in my life) and whenever I get really stressed or I fall under a depression, I get these chronic stomach pains that ache like nothing else. It was worse this time than it ever was before (I used to have them all the time, almost everyday, when I was a kid). Seriously, it's the worst physical pain I've ever felt in my entire life (except for this thing that happened to me when I was 13). So I couldn't do anything. But I'm trying to make up for it by giving you guys tons of stuff to keep you busy! Kevin emailed me just in time too. He gave me some information for the Goo Goo Dolls Discography Page. He gave me the band names for the songs the Goos covered that I couldn't remember as well as corrected information on the Jed and EOAC albums. He also gave me information on the Throw That Bum Out demo tape. I want to thank Kevin so very much for that! I love to have fans contribute! Now for some Gutterflower stuff! I added a promo photo to the Gutterflower Picture Page and finally, finally, finally put up the lyrics for Gutterflower. You can go check those out if you'd like. Now Hush Puppy has an announcement which will probably be of interest to you serious Goo fans!
There is a new contest up and running on the Contest Page!!!!! The prize is a couple of concert photos from the Dizzy Up The Girl era, the first release album on CD-R, and a concert from 1996 called Naked In Japan on CD-R. The question is related to the recording of Gutterflower. If you don't know the answer, just try and guess. The answer is one of the songs (you'll find that obvious once you read the question) and there are 12 songs on Gutterflower. So that's 1 out of 12. You've got a better chance guessing than not guessing. So take your best shot! A winner will be randomely selected from the correct answers and will be announced on May 10. A private email will be sent to the winner asking for his/her address so that I can send the prizes to him/her. Have fun and good luck!
Thank you Hush Puppy! Very exciting! I wish you Goo fans luck. I do want to ask that you fans pray for Robby.....; he went to a hospital in Salt Lake City a couple of days ago due to an arm injury and was not able to play the show. Dean Warren, the Goos tech, provided bass. I'm not sure what exactly is wrong with Robby's arm, but I do know that he may not be able to play the Phoenix show. But Robby, we all really hope that you get better because we LOVE you!!!!! I'm going to leave you on the note that a Gallery is being worked on. So expect to hear more about that in the near future. I will try to get some more of my concert photos scanned in and a Songs Page is being worked on too. Speaking of which.....I do need contributions for that. To contribute, all you have to do is tell me about a particular Goo song that means something to you. You can send me a story about that song, what you think it means, what it means to you, how it's helped you, why a certain Goo song is your favorite.....anything like that. PLEASE email me with those contributions.....it would be much appreciated! I'm gotta go get some rest now, something I haven't gotten much of for a while. Have fun with the piles of Goo!!!!

4/4/03 Hey guys! What's happenin? A lot is going on with me.....and there should be for you too because there are 5 more days until the one year anniversary of the Goo Goo Dolls seventh album, Gutterflower!!!!!!!! Yep, that's right folks! A whole year has gone by already! Gutterflower was released on April 9, 2002. Well, it was released on April 8 in Europe....so you Goo fans in Europe will be celebrating a day before us fans in America. I can't wait! I'm gonna have to do something special! But as of today, I've completely updated the Goo Goo Dolls discography page, so make sure you check that because I worked really hard on it. There's a lot of stuff there. Not just albums, but promos, cassettes, LP's, soundtracks, rare songs, videos, and tons more. So, like I said, CHECK IT OUT! Excuse me. I'm working on a Gallery so expect that to come soon. And I'll have those Gutterflower lyrics up for the anniversary! Yay!!!! Sorry I took so long with those, I just wanted to make sure I had it down word for word. Anyway, I'm gonna go now, email me and we can chat.....contribute some Goo. Come on people! Get in here!

4/1/03 Hey Goo fans....got lots of stuff for you today. Firstly, I've updated the Credit Page. You can check that out if you'd like....although I'm not sure that would interest you all that much. If not, than you can read a nice little review of a Bon Jovi/Goo show at the Capital Times and another great review of a show in Buffalo (including a picture) at the Buffalo News website. Also, read an interview with Robby at the Denver Post. Something exciting is that Robby, Johnny, AND Mike are all featured in magazines this month! Go to the TV, Radio, and Magazine page to check that out as well as to check out how to win a pass to Star Lounge with the Goos! A lot has been happening with me....scroll down a ways (all the way below the webrings and stuff) and click on my diary banner to read my diary at diaryland.com. Or you can just go to Diaryland and do an engine search for "dregnebula" and go to my profile, then click on "Dregs and Milk and Everything Sweet" to read. Anyway, enjoy the Goo! Take care

3/23/03 Hey guys. What's up? Well, there's a lot of Goo being spread on the internet so let me let you in. Go to Pittsburgh Entertainment to read a review on Gutterflower and to The Delaware News Journal to read an article that talks about the album and the band's tour with Bon Jovi. Better yet, go to the Rolling Stone website and take a look at some awesome photos of the Goos as well as the Bon Jovi crew at a show in Chicago. There's a tiny bit at The Hill where the Dolls talk about the 'importance of music.' But the best thing I have for you, I think, is at Washington 104, where you can listen to an in-studio interview with Robby and Johnny. It's really fun to listen to, made me laugh. You can also check out the pictures! So guys, have fun! I'm working on some new stuff....slow process....but you can be patient, I know you can!

3/9/03 Hey Goo fans....I'm back on track it looks like. There'll be a lot of changes happening to the site so watch out for that. If any pictures or links don't work just email me and let me know....it's probably just me goofing up or something. Today I've updated the Goo Goo Dolls' Biography Page....and it took me forever so go check it out! And let me know if you have any biographical information I could add to the page! Also, I'll be typing up a band biography soon so check out for that, but also be patient! hehe...I said I'm back on track but I didn't say I was fast. And I'm trying to start on a picture page....but I have so many pictures that it's gonna take me a long time. Nevertheless, if you have any pictures, please donate some, will ya? The odds are that I'll already have it, but there's a 10% chance that I don't so don't be shy and don't hold back. Also, I'll give you credit if it's a picture taken by you personally. If you see that mini-poll on the main page, well, most of the votes asked for a picture page so that's why I'm doing this. And I'm almost embarrassed, but I made a mistake on the Gutterflower Promo Page....; I accidentally put an Ego, Opinion, Art, And Commerce promo photo!!! I took it off today! But oh my god! I should have known considering I have the press release for that CD and it came with two of the promo photos, that being one of them! Anyway, email me, guys! I used to get so many emails and now I barely get any! I miss it! ): I guess that's my own fault for slacking on the job! So I'm gonna scram.........see yas.........................!

3/6/03 Wow....I am so sorry, I've been slacking so much on my job! I hope I haven't left you guys hanging too badly....after all, you do have the tour diary to read everyday, so I guess it's not so bad. Anyway, there's a brand new press release posted on the main page and remember to keep voting for String of Goo at Starpages. Well, things have been pretty hectic in my life this past year. Just 3 weeks ago I tried to kill myself by drinking an entire bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide and overdosing on Semprex, Wellbutrin, Depakote, and Acriten. It wasn't fun. The Semprex made me extremely dizzy and gave me delusions, everything was spinning and it was all neon colors, sort of wavy. I heard things too....they sounded so real but they weren't. The Peroxide tore up my mouth. My throat burned for a week and my gums ripped open until they were bleeding. I'm okay now, my friends have been so great in helping me. They kick ass. Speaking of friends, I've made a lot of changes to the Credits page, so check that out. Also, check out my internet diary thing if you're interested in what I've been up to the past month. The Goos should have a contest up on their site soon and so should String of Goo....so stay tuned!
