Thanks to my wonderful sister, Ria! You've been beside me since you were born. You've walked beside me and, despite the fact that you are younger, you've protected me in many ways. I hope that I've protected you too. You always shared as much as you could with me and you never left me lonely as a girl. I never had to search for a friend because you were always in the same room. We came to a dead end when we got older and tore each other up. Then we drifted apart for the longest time....but now I feel as if we've grown together again. I'm not sure how you feel, but I feel like we've become good friends again. Maybe I can't talk to you about everything, or tell you my deepest secrets, but I can still talk to you about fun things and have some good conversations. I'm so glad that you go to the same school as I now. I like being ditzy with you and your friends after school (i.e. skipping to the car and having Megan sit in your lap while I drive us to the front to get Stephen) and I like being able to talk to you when I pass you in the halls. I like being able to sneak a bit of lunch from you every now and then and I like asking you for money even though you never have any. I like your friends and I like the fact that they don't dislike me (unlike some of your younger friends). I like being able to talk to you about school and about the people at school at home. I like the fact that we can go shopping and tanning and so many other things together. I like having a sister so close to my age and I like being the older one. It's so much fun to hang out with you and I thank you for liking me enough to do that. I love ya sis!
Thanks to Miguelito Pimiendo....I found it strange at first that I felt such a strong specialty in you, but now I understand. You were born with something extraordinary, you have gifts that many others would be lucky to possess. I saw something incredible in you the first time I met you, and I knew you were special. You have the greatest ability to be anyone you want to be. Your maturity and intellect has so much more quality than that of others our age. You're open to what life is willing to give you without losing your sense of logic. You're one of the few people of this world to remain uncorrupted. Your heart is invested in life. You think when others don't know it. You're so genuine....you take everything you are told into consideration, and you care. You know that life is easier for some and harder for others. You have fun with the easy but aren't afraid of the hard. You approach it...you know, you must know, that the littlest things you can do mean the world to those who struggle...and they became big things. You give what you have and don't ignore what you're offered. You accept every challenge with confidence, and you don't hesitate to accept what others give you. You've shown me nothing but sincerity and kindness....you really have made a difference, and I'd have a hard time believing that you don't know that.
Thanks to Danny for being there for me since I was 5. You're one of my best friends and I've had some of the most fun with you. You're charming and you're so sweet I can taste it. You've always cared for me and you've always listened when I needed someone to talk to. I know I can tell you things and never have to worry about being judged or hated. You can always talk to me, even when I'm not here. I'll be your angel, and I'll watch over you forever. I'll wrap my arms around you and protect you....I won't let anything bad happen to you. You just have to promise to protect me too.
Thanks to Stephen for being my best friend. Thanks for being the first person to say "I love you" to me, and thank you for making me the second person you've ever said that to. Thank you for accepting me into your life and for not judging me. Thank you for cheering me up when I'm sad and for making me laugh for the first time in my life. Thank you for making me smile, something I've never been able to do. Thank you for making me able to feel happiness, something I never in my life thought I'd be able to feel. Thank you for teaching me about faith and about life, and for letting me know that I'm not unworthy of love. Thank you for changing my life in a way that no one had ever been to do.
