Dynamic Acoustics Technology Technics dynamic acoustics technology is modeled after PCM recordings of a meticulously tuned, world-class concert grand. Sampled at several dynamic levels across the keyboard, the SX-P50 digital piano captures even the slightest variations in sound and timbre. Capturing that quality is the name of the game and Technics has done it.

Natural response action

Not only does the sx-P50 digital piano reproduce the sound of a concert grand,  it also plays like one! Natural variations in string thickness, hammer size and the presence (or absence) of a damper all affect the weight of grand piano keys. The natural key touch is heavier for low notes and lighter for high notes, changing in four increments from one end of the keyboard to the other. 

Technics natural response action replicates this weighted feel on a portable digital piano, using four sets of graded hammers that are linked to the appropriate registers for substantial, authentic response. They've even produced the black keys in a matte finish, for that extra special piano feel!
