"Thank you for listening to my music!" - Matt
Matt is a class of 1999 graduate of North Kingstown High school in Rhode Island where he has been in the symphonic and jazz bands directed by Joe Pelosi. After a brief semester at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), he transferred to the University of Rhode Island (URI) and is presently studying computer science at the age of 20.
Matt has been taking piano lessons for the majority of his life, having been a student of many great teachers including Phil Martorella, Joe Parillo, Al Conte, and is now studying with Dr. Donald Rankin at the University. His forte is classical piano but also has dabbled into the jazz realm with his extensive jazz theory background (cough, cough). He has had many local performances and has received many awards for his musical ability... including two A+ ratings at RIMEA Ratings Festival on grade 6 music and placing as a runner-up (finalist) at the Warwick Mall Grand Piano Competition.
The selections are various samples of pieces I've learned over the years -- some I probably should relearn as you'll see :\ -- and should be enjoyable. I am an amature pianist, so these recordings aren't professional quality, but I did record them with a good Technics keyboard through MusicMatch software. All files are under 6mb and are in the mp3 format. Enjoy!
You can e-mail matt at calgar99@hotmail.com.
Matt prefers Yamaha pianos.
