I have a recurring 'tool' that I use in my 'monster-making', thus, as I was looking for a theme on this, it was staring me in the face, literally...
I don't use anything fancy, just things lying about the garage or the garden-variety 'junk-drawer'. I do have a place nearby that sells all kinds of 'junk' at low prices, so that helps. I don't spend a whole lot of money on these things, either. I get my masks at clearance sales or dollar stores and parts come from broken items that are getting pitched anyhow. The most we spend here is time.
