In A Garden
I walked along in a garden,
When the dew was on the ground,
And I felt God's love abiding
In the rich beauty all around;
Dewdrops shone like daimonds
On pansies velvet dress;
A scarlet rose unfolded
Neath the sun's caress;
Sweet williams nodded greeting,
Shy violets nestled by,
A meadowlark sang
sweetly
'Neath an azure sky.
I thought of a lovely Garden,
Far beyond the vale of tears,
Where God's grace abides forever,
Where there's no night, nor pain, nor fears;
Jesus, Rose of Sharon
Bright shining as the sun,
Sweet lily of the valley,
Fairer than the moon,
Gives life and peace and pardon
From His royal throne on high,
In Heaven's wondrous Garden_
Haven in the sky.
