Rants, Ravings, Observations and stuff...

3. 2/18/03

Most funny Simpsons moments (in no order):

  • Homer shooting the 'remote' (an ice-cream sandwich) at the TV screen upon seeing that The Boring World of Niels Bohr was on.

  • Worker and Parasite, Eastern Europe's answer to Itchy and Scratchy

  • Itchy and Scratchy cartoon, "Screams from A Mall"

  • Bart+Lisa: "Next time we fall asleep we could die!" Grampa: "Eh, welcome to my world (falls asleep suddenly)"

  • Grampa taking off his underwear without taking his pants off

  • Homer's dummy's death.

  • Hans Moleman's movie for the Springfield Film Festival

  • Barney chopping down the mailbox

  • Mr. Burns selections for the Power Plant baseball team (his right fielder was dead for 130 years)

  • Homer's interview for TV magazine show Rock Bottom (the bad splices and clock changes)

  • Homer: "Oh god, please, god, if you're up there please help me god"

  (Phone Rings)

Phone: Hello Homer. This is God......frey Jones"

That's all I can think of right now.

2. 2/17/03

I'm pleased to say the TV ban went very well. I learned alot through my suffering. Anyway, I return to you today on a more serious and grave issue.

I am disgusted as to the recent events taking place in our world. Our moron of a President in the White House, his cronies acting his every stupid will and whim, and that ass-licking British PM countering every possible wish of his people (the Brits are cool, I think, btw.) It seems, despite all of our human effort, we will be going to war.

However, I realized, there is still hope. The American Liberals fear that if they rebel, they will be punished by the government. This is a far cry from the people who once pushed Britain out by every force necessary. Yesterday, in Rome, a city of 4.5 million, 2.5 million were protesting the war. In New York, a city of easily 10 million, only 600,000 were out, if that. Taking no action in democracy is the first step towards creating a tyranny. If the opposition says nothing, the ruling party will do it. Liberals, or anybody who thinks this war is crap- here me- democracy is active- rasie your voice- be heard- go out on the streets- join protests- if there are none, create them- this is your chance- you have the right not to remain silent.

1. Wait, what's the date, oh 1/29/03

Well, no TV for the rest of the week. Must...have...reruns. Must...depend...on...TV...like...deity... Anyway, I never quite realized how amazingly boring South Windsor (my town) is! Today I moved wood! That IS boredom! I figured this would take the place of TV... but nothing does. TV IS GOD. I learned English from TV. I learned to count from TV. I learned about science from TV. Now, TV keeps the few tiny scraps of sanity I have together. Without it I'm some baggy eyed freak- kinda like Ren from Ren and Stimpy.

That's one more thing- all of a sudden I've remembered how hilarious and good old school Nickelodeon was, esp Ren and Stimpy, and Rocko's Modern Life, remind me to download some when my TV ban is over, if I haven't bashed my head in with a wrench by then.

I'm tired. There's too much snow. My back hurts. Something smells like mustard.
