THE CHERRY BLOSSOM'S DREAM

I am the cherry blossom, the jewel giving life to the first tree in bloom of every springtime. That’s maybe why I should be the happiest, but I’m the saddest flower of the earth. I always bloom before all others and die before seeing them in bloom. And I am always lonely with the bitter perfume of my loneliness.
A butterfly has told me that every flower had an angel protecting her, watching each spring over its bloom. Maybe I have no angel, because when I’m born it’s still too cold for their fragile wings. But I am always dreaming of a good angel to be by my side when I open my eyes upon the spring…
And I know that only when the angel loves me, I won’t be as lonely as I am now, lonelier than the moon, and only then my perfume will not be bitter anymore.
