The Lucky Call: Chapter Eight

Chapter 9: *knock knock* is what I arose to the next morning. " Good gosh. It's seven in the morning" I said grumpily as I struggled to make my way to the door. I looked through the peephole and smiled when I saw A.J. standing there. I opened the door and jumped into his awaiting arms. "Good morning" he said as he kissed my cheek. I kissed him quickly in response. "What a pleasant morning call" I said giggling. "No kidding" he said, smilin at my sudden act of affection. "Well, I think it would be weird if someone saw you holding a girl in her pajamas standing in the middle of the hallway. I think you better come in." I said, laughing. "Oh! I was caught up in the moment." A.J. responded smiling and carrying me into the room. Once we got inside, A.J. pulled out a single pink rose.." I know red roses mean love, but since our relationship just began...I thought pink would be best" He said, smiling shyly. "Oh....this is so sweet.." I said, hugging him. " So, I heard that you spoke to Audra yesterday." He said. "Oh yah, she's a riot." I said, while pouring a glass of Orange Juice for A.J. and myself. "She called us...two doves." A.J. said while holding my hand and leading me to the table. "That's sweet of her" I replied while sitting down next to him. "Yah" he said while he sipped his juice. "So what are you plans for today?" I asked hoping that I was somewhere on the list. "Actually, I think we have today off. So I was hoping that you would spend the day with me.." he said, looking into my eyes. "Like I would ever give up a day with you." I said, kissing him. He smiled and massaged my cheek with his hand. "Great..I'm going to go clean up and I'll check back here in about an hour" He said, smiling at me. "Alright, I'll see you soon" I said, realizing that I was still in pajamas. "Alright, I'll see you in an hour Erin." A.J. said before passionately kissing me goodbye. I watched him as he walked peacefully down the hall. " Something about him...I dont know..its' makes me peaceful...When I'm with him, I forget about my past and all I can think about is feeling his lips on mine once again." I said while I talked to Audra a few minutes after A.J. left. "That's how it is with Nick and I. It's just the first signs of love.." She said. I smiled at her response and wondered what the future had in store for A.J. and I.
