The Lucky Call: Chapter Eleven

Chapter 11: As AJ and I sat and watched the movie that day, the only thing that ran through my head was "What Next?". What will happen to AJ and I? There are two days left and then I have to go back home, but AJ has to stay overseas for promotion. I keep telling myself that it's going to be okay.....but will it? I've never had to deal with a long distance relationship and I was severely doubting myself. A few hours later AJ went back to his room and I went to bed. I decided to call Audra, I needed to ask her how her and Nick managed to stay together. I guess you can call it "sisterly advice". *phone rings* "Hello?" a tired Audra said on the other line. "Audra?this is Erin. Can you come over please? I really need to talk to someone right now." I said, trying once again to fight back tears. "Erin?What's wrong? You sound like your about to cry" She responded concerned. " I just need to talk to someone, please." I said, tears now showering my face. "Okay, I'll be over in a second." She said before hanging up. *5 minutes later* "So what's going on Erin?" Audra said while sitting on my couch in my hotel room. "I'm terrified to leave him....." I said, trying to be as simple as possible. "Who? AJ?why?" She said, confused. "What if it doesn't work out or, or maybe he wants to break it off with me?" I said in one breath while staring at my hands. "Oh girl....AJ is head-over-heel's for you. Your crazy if you haven't seen it yet." Audra responded smiling. " I know, but what if it's just a fling and as soon as I leave, he's on to the next girl?" I said, beginning to panic. " Erin, AJ is not like that, I can assure you. Once he falls for a girl, he doesn't let go." Audra said while picking up the phone. *ring ring* "Yah?" a groggy voice said on the other line. "AJ?Hey this is Audra, can you come to Erin's room please. ASAP." Audra said quickly and then hung up. I looked at her with a confused look. "We are going to straighten this out once and for all." Audra said smiling. I opened my mouth to protest.."Nope, you and AJ are going to work this out here and now." Audra said before getting up and heading to the kitchen for something to drink. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. I gasped, dreading the next few minutes. I watched as Audra rushed over to the door and opened it to see AJ in a robe. "What's going on?" he said, still half-asleep. "You and Erin need to talk....NOW" she said before pulling AJ in the door and letting herself out. I sighed and looked at the floor as AJ rushed to my side. "What's wrong...?" He said before I broke down in tears.
