The Lucky Call: Chapter Twelve

Chapter 11: "Oh god, Erin tell me what's wrong.." AJ said, wide awake now and shocked at my response to his question. "I, I dont know...." I said, choking my words as I spoke. "Why did Audra call me down here?" AJ said, lifting my face to his. "She wanted us to talk.....about us" I said, trying to wipe the tears from my face. AJ then grabbed my wrists. "What about us?" he said, looking me in the eyes. "Our future, what's going to happen to us after I leave" I said, looking at the floor. AJ let go of my wrists and stood up. "I dont know..." He said while walking over to the window and looking at the city. "What?" I said, confused. " I dont know.." he said. "AJ...?" I started.." I dont want to leave you Erin, believe me when I say that. Saying goodbye to you on that plane is going to be the hardest thing I've ever had to do." AJ said while pacing back and forth in front of the window. " I know what you mean..." I said, while walking over to him. " AJ look at me, please" I said while stopping him from his pacing. He looked me straight in the eyes.." Will this last?" I asked, hoping for the answer I've waited to hear. "Yes" AJ said sternly. I smiled at him and hugged him. " God, I never thought I would ever meet someone like you" he whispered into my ear. " I met my destiny when you sat next to me on that plane.." I said while nuzzling into the side of his neck. AJ spent that night in my hotel room. (And for all that want to know.....WE DID NOT DO THE NASTY.) The next morning, he went back to his room to get dressed. Today the boys had a radio interview..... Just as I was about to walk out the door to meet AJ in the lobby, the phone rang. "Erin? How'd it go last night?" Audra said quickly, I could tell she was just about to meet Nick. "I'll tell you in the van." I said before quickly hanging up and running downstairs to meet my awaiting angel in disguise.
