Best of Friends

They say good friends are hard to find

Friends who are caring and who are kind

But the day I met you my search came to an end

For I knew you and I would be the best of friends

You and I hit it off right from the very start

And I am glad that in my life you are a part

For a true friend is what I've found in you

So many times you have helped see me through

Just by taking the time to listen and to care

And reminding me whenever I need you you're there

And no matter what I say you seem to understand

And you're always willing to lend a hand

So when they say true friends are hard to find

You are the first person who comes to mind

For they just haven't had the chance to meet

Someone like you who is loving and sweet.
