The Voyage

Like a clipper sets sail
On a voyage in the sea,
Our love has embarked
On a journey of you and me.

From the first time we left the dock
And set sail on the sea,
I knew we'd float forever,
Together eternally.

I knew we'd sail together,
But I did not know how;
With no compass to point the way,
Only our love to guide us now.

Each day we hoist our sail
As high as it will go.
The wind of our love pushes us on,
As it continues to blow.

Sometimes our vessel is cast about
From the menacing ocean waves
Sometimes our vessel is invaded
By nefarious knaves.

Like a lighthouse, our love keeps
Us away from obstacles in the sea,
And helps us to conquer those fearful
Waves that try to shelve our journey.

You are my Captain
Guiding my ship to thee,
You are my destination;
The reason I sail the sea.

Like the moon and the stars
Shine together in the dismal night,
Our ships have become one,
With our love as our guiding light.

And now we sail together
And all along the way,
Our love grows stronger
Each and every day.
