Standing After the Storm
Tulips
flutter freely,
sashaying in the wind.
Dance preserves the stance--they remain
standing.
Mulish
tulips don't dance.
They resist the wind's push,
stubbornly standing until they're
broken.
Standing
after the storm
is a blessing of fits
reserved only for the strongest
tulips.
