Seashore
He just died.
The salty water washes
the remains of his body
out of his shell.
The ocean water catches in-between
the ridges of his intricate,
spiraled shell, pushing it forward.
It rolls underneath the waves
guided by the ocean current;
until it reaches the beach.
Tossed about by the waves,
it crashes into the shore
and tumbles until it stops
next to my naked feet.
