CLASSROOM NEWS September 12, 2006 Today we had a wonderful current events discussion. Remember to pay attention to other news stories throughout the week. Some other reminders: To all students: Please remind your parents about Back to School Night on Thursday night. Humanities students should be creating a list of 10 Pivotal Events in history. Try to choose events that caused dramatic shifts in human interaction like the first written laws (Code of Hammurabi) or the invention of the printing press. Multi-Cultures students should be working on their illustrations of the 5 Themes of Geography. Look through magazines and newspapers for ideas. Government students should begin to think about what role they would like to play in our KIDS VOTING! program. We will need students to take on leadership positions that will require responsibility and additional time. All students who have received a textbook should be in the process of covering it.
