Injury

However days before the wedding, Noizchild suffered from a terrible injury. Rob got the news on his break between classes. His cell phone rang loudly as soon as he stepped right outside. He answered right away.

    "Hello?" he asked.

"Are you Benson-san?" a man's voice asked him on the other line.

    "Yes, why?" the mouse asked.

"This is Doctor Sobui," the man replied. "Johnson-san as suffered a fall while decorating the church for one of her former student's wedding. She had us to call you." Rob went pale at those words.

    "Is... she okay?" he asked.

"Yeah," the doctor said. "But she's being really stubborn at the moment! We are checking her X-rays right now as we speak." Rob breathed out some. "Oh good!" he thought.

"I'll be right there!" the mouse called quickly. Then he hung up the phone and hurried down to the hospital. He bought flowers along the way. Noiz loved roses. White and pink were the ones available at the moment. Rob looked around in the hall for room 118. He found the door wide open. The mouse looked inside. Noiz sat up in the bed looking pretty pissed off. Rob smiled to himself brightly. "There you are!" he thought. The cat looked up at him as he walked into the room with the roses. Her bitter mood lightened up some. She smiled at him warmly.

"Robbie-kun!" the cat called out. "I'm so glad you came to see me!" Rob approached the bed with caution. Noiz's eyes lit up in delight.

"Roses!" she exclaimed. "Aw that's so sweet!" She reached forward and patted him on the head. The mouse smiled warmly at the feeling of her hand.

"I'll just put them in vase next to you," he said.

"Thanks," his kitty said. Rob put the roses in the geisha vase nice and neat. Noiz watched him excited. The mouse turned back to his beloved cat.

"So," he spoke up. "How are you?"

"In pain," Noiz said becoming annoyed again. "I would let my foot heal itself, but the stupid nurses here keep pumping full of drugs and it's slowing down the process!"

"They're just trying to help you," Rob reasoned with her.

"I don't want their help!" the kitty snapped. "I can do just fine on my own!"

"Anyway," Rob went on. "What happened?" Noiz sighed a bit.

"I was fixing up the garland in the reception hall," she explained. "Apparently, some idiot didn't make sure that the ladder was secured properly. Because the next thing I know when I was trying to fix one uneven part, I went crashing straight to the ground. That hurt like hell!"

    "Ouch!" Rob replied.

"I know," Noiz agreed. Just then, they heard footsteps come into the room. The pair looked up and saw Doctor Sobui looking in at them. He looked pretty young for his age. Rob and Noiz guessed close to twenty to twenty-three give or take. The glasses gave him a more mature look to him. His light chestnut hair begged for a cute young thing to play with it. His sweet blue eyes kept Noiz's attention the whole time.

"Hello doc!" the cat greeted him. Sobui looked at her nervously at first. He hadn't forgotten how Noiz snapped at him earlier. This time he wasn't taking any chances with her.

"Hello," he replied. The doctor turned to Rob. "How do you manage to put up with her everyday?" The mouse shrugged at her.

"Love, I guess," he replied. Sobui breathed out some. Noiz glared at him coldly.

"How bad is it?" she asked him bitterly. Doctor Sobui straightened up quickly.

"Johnson-san," he replied. "We took your X-ray and you have broken your right foot in three different places." Rob winced in pain at that one. Noiz glared at him coldly. "I wouldn't have this problem if they had just let me heal on my own!"

"How long will my foot take to heal?" she asked him.

"About a month," Doctor Sobui replied. Noiz's eyes grew big in shock.

"A month?!?" she screamed. "But I have a wedding to go to!"

"Sorry," the doctor replied. "But you can't do any physical labor until your foot heals." Noiz glared at him yet again.

"I wouldn't be in this predicament if your stupid nurses hadn't intervened!" she snapped. Rob lightly grabbed her by the shoulder.

"Shhh, calm down Noiz," he said. "He's just trying to help, okay?" The cat said nothing and glared at him crossly. She sat back annoyed. The doc breathed out again.

"Right," Doctor Sobui replied. "Is there anything else that you need?"

"No," Rob answered quickly. "We're good here."

"Right," the doc said again. "Just take it easy and rest. Your foot will be fine in a month, Johnson-san. Have a nice day." Then, he turned to leave. Noiz gritted her teeth.

"Have a nice day, my ass!" she snapped.

"You know," Rob spoke up. "He and the nurses are just trying to help you here. So, you could be a little bit nicer to them." Noiz turned to him with her evil eyes. Rob went quiet after that one.

"Or not..." he mumbled. *Sweat drop on mousey's head* The mood changed with a simple question.

"Find out anything on Daichi?" Noiz asked her mouse. Rob quickly changed his mood likewise.

"Oh, no not really," he replied. The cat looked at him surprised.

"What do you mean?" she asked. Rob shrugged at her.

"Daichi's record is all clean," the mouse broke down. "No prison records, no debts, no ties to any criminal activities, not even a speeding ticket! He pays his taxes every year. He graduated from Tokyo University and president of an Investment firm in Japan. All of the records are true about him. This guy is all green." Noiz sat there in silence for a moment. She shook her head slightly.

"That can't be right," the cat said. "My instinct is never wrong." Rob shrugged again.

"All I can say is to be careful," he said. Noiz nodded at that one.

    "Yeah," she agreed softly.

"So what are you going to do now?" Rob asked her. His kitty sat up boldly.

"There's work to be done and I'm on it!" she announced.

"But how?" the mouse asked her. "You're on bed rest until your foot heals." Noiz held up her finger smiling.

"Ah my love!" she called aloud. "There is a beautiful thing called technology. Without it, we're all screwed!" *Sweat drop on Rob's head* "Figures!" he thought to himself. "She never stops, no matter what!" Thus, work on the wedding carried on as usual. Noiz called all of the shots via webcam. Even injured she could still run the show and command the people. Visitors came back her room and walked her work and bark orders. One could find it strangely... amusing in a sense. But who could say? That was just Noiz's nature. The nurses and doctors were start enough to leave her alone while she worked.

Everything went smoothly though. Everyone tried their best to stay agreeable with Noiz about the wedding. (She wasn't happy about being in the hospital for a straight month. The cat just wanted to heal up and go home already.) Lucky for them, Noiz went easy on them because of the pain. However, one problem did arise. It occurred on the day before the wedding. Noiz was checking her e-mail when someone called, "Noiz-san." The cat slowly looked up from her messages. Naomi stood in the doorway looking at her. She had a worried look on her face. The cat raised an eyebrow at her.

"Naomi!" she called. "What's the matter?" Naomi hurried into the room and sat down beside the bed. The woman looked so pale all over.

"I don't know if I go through with the wedding!" she blurted out. Noiz sighed aloud.

"Why not?" she questioned. Naomi sighed out as she shook her head.

"I don't know if I'm ready for this," she replied. "What if I'm a terrible wife? What if we end up cheating on each other? What it all just breaks down and crumbles? I don't know if I'm cut out for marriage!" Naomi trembled all over. "I'm sorry I'm such a mess!" she cried. "I just don't know what to do with myself!" Noiz rolled her eyes annoyed. "And here we go!" she thought. "The pre-wedding doubts arise and try to ruin everything!" Time to straighten Naomi out.

"Look," the cat spoke up. "Do you love Daichi?" Naomi looked up at her with that random question.

"Huh?" she asked. Noiz sighed annoyed at her again.

"Do you or do you not love Daichi?" she asked again. Naomi nodded quickly.

"Yes!" she called aloud. "I love Daichi to the fullest!"

"Do you want to marry him?" Noiz asked her.

"Yes!" Naomi answered. "Daichi is the man that I want to marry!" Noiz smiled at her in pride.

"Good," she replied. "Keep telling yourself that until you say your vows. Don't worry, you'll make a great wife!" Naomi looked at her hopefully.

"You really mean it?" she asked aloud. Noiz nodded at her boldly.

"Come on!" she called. "You survived through my class and me. That says a lot right there!" Naomi nodded in surprised agreement.

"Good point!" she replied. Noiz was too much of a good mood to get pissed off by that remark.

"There you go!" she called. "Now go on and get married!" Naomi nodded in pride.

"I sure will!" she replied. Then, the former student handed out of the room and onto her bachelorette party. Noiz closed her laptop and went to sleep for the night. The day of wedding came for all. So far, everything went as planned. Rob was set to give the bride away. Daichi waited for his future wife at the altar. He was dressed in a brand new suit. Perry stayed near Shannon the whole time to keep her away from the nearest charming bloke that she saw. (Which became much harder due to the fact Shannon had taken uppers and downers that morning.) June and Artemis sat near the doorway of the church. Artemis had a grin up to his ears because Noiz wasn't there at all today. (Or so it seemed.) Everyone rose up when the bride arrived. Naomi looked so beautiful in her white and red wedding kimono. The diamonds looked so lovely in her pinned up black hair. Her mom and dad would have been so proud to see their little girl if they were alive today. Naomi stood next Daichi when the music finished. Everyone sat down again. The minister began the ceremony.

But before he could let out a single word, the doors burst open wide. The people all whipped around to see who else? Noizchild sitting in a wheelchair with a cast on her foot. However, she wasn't alone. Noiz had a whole army of wheelchair-bond people behind her. Artemis lowered his head in defeat. He just couldn't get rid of the cat at all. Rob stood up looking at her confused.

"Momo, what are you doing here?" he asked in surprise.

"What does it look like?" she asked back. "I'm attending the wedding. Just discharged myself from the hospital and brought some friends along!" Everyone stared at her in silence. That was Noiz for ya! She would push and do anything to get what she wanted. And once again, she won out like she usually did. Noiz turned to the minister.

"Well don't just stand there!" she shouted. "Get on with it!" The minister nodded and picked up where he left off. The guests tried their best to focus on the wedding. Noiz turned to her new friends in wheelchairs.

"Come on guys! Let's do this!" she called out. Noiz led the way to the wedding. All of her friends followed close behind.
