Beauty Bet

Today was judgment day for Noizchild. She could choose to stay at Animal House or go back to Clover House. The boys were going out on a limb to make the kitty want to stay. They were extra nice to her today. The boys all took turns pushing the wheelchair up the ramp. Noiz enjoyed the special treatment.

"They've been really nice to me these last few weeks," she told Rob as she was getting dressed in the morning.

"They want to keep you here," he said. "So they're bending over backwards to keep you happy here."

    "I see," she replied.

"So, are you?" Rob asked her on the bed. Noiz turned around to him on that question.

"I don't know really," she replied. The mouse looked at her in suspicion on that one.

"You really don't know or you won't tell me?" he asked. Noiz smirked at him on that one.

"You've studied me well!" she called. Rob nodded at her proudly.

"Yep!" he replied. Noiz smirked at him some. "He's so cute when he thinks he has figured me out!" she thought.

"Speaking over which," Rob spoke up. "There is a beauty contest coming up at TZA." Noiz rolled her eyes as she snorted at him.

"So?" she asked. Rob gave her a little shrug.

"Just thought that you would be interested," he replied.

"And why would I be interested in a thing like that?" she asked him flatly. "That stupid contest is vain and a waste of money. Why I could think of three things that money could be used for without that contest." Rob raised an eyebrow at her.

"Such as?" he asked. Noiz stood boldly.

"Food, computers, and renovations!" she answered without blinking.

"Renovations on what?" the mouse asked. "We covered that already!"

"Well," the cat replied. "You can't be too sure at times."

"Right..." Rob spoke unconvinced. Then, an idea came into his head. He smirked at her in naughty way. "Oh, I see!" he replied boldly. "You're scared that you won't win!" Noiz looked at him as if he had lost his ever-loving mind.

"What did you say?" she asked in the matching tone. Rob shrugged at her innocently.

"Just saying," he replied. "In fact!" The mouse stood up straight to his feet. "I bet you 95,537 yen that you won't win!" That caught her interest now.

    "Oh really?" she asked.

"Yeah!" the mouse boy announced. Noiz saw the plot right away.

"Oh I see what this is!" she called. "You're trying to trick me into entering the contest!" Rob shrugged at her smiling again.

"What's the matter?" he asked. "Afraid of losing?"

    "No!" Noiz said quickly.

"Well then," Rob pointed out. "You have nothing to lose with this contest!"

"Fine!" Noiz replied. "I'll prove to you that I won't lose!" Rob smiled at her.

"You're on!" he finished. They bowed at that one. The kitty couldn't help but to get the feeling that she had just been played. He always did this to her. Rob would push her into things by saying that she couldn't do it. And like a sucker, she fell into the trap all because she wanted to prove him wrong. Damn ambition, it could be such a bitch! the contest test took place in the afternoon. This only gave Noiz a short time to prepare. All the while, she was plotting how she was going to kill her mouse for pushing her into this. "This is so stupid!" she thought to herself. "How did that mouse's words fly under my radar once again! That was just dumb!" Noiz shook her head again. Damn ambition at times. Lucky for her, her foot healed up just in time. The cat came off the meds and her own foot healed up on its own like she expected it to. "Ha! What the heal do those nurses know?" she thought. "All I just needed was a couple of minutes and I would be just fine on my own!" If only it could be so for this current mess. But then, help came along the way. A knock came onto the door. The cat looked up right away.

    "Who is it?" she asked.

    "It's us!" Conrad answered.

"Uh..." Noiz replied. "What are you doing back here? This is a girl's dressing room."

"We just came by to help!" Billy answered. Noiz smiled to herself as she stood up from her dresser. Another attempt to try and keep her here.

    "Oh really?" she asked.

    "Yeah!" Graham called.

"You can't come in," the cat spoke again. "But just hand me the stuff through the door without looking!"

"Okay!" the boys all called out. Noiz opened the door a crack and the boys headed her what she needed through it. Within minutes, Noiz was ready to rock. She came out of the dressing room. The cat stood still for a moment. The kitty was dressed up in a short red and black Chinese-style dress that showed off her nice shape. Shoes of choice were cute little red kitten heels. They showed off her multi-colored toenails. Her jade earrings and necklace matched perfectly. Her red chopsticks in her hair completed her looks.

"How do I look?" she asked her boys. They all stared on in silent shock. Noiz smiled to herself richly. "Good to know I still have the touch," she thought. The kitty looked over at the clock on the wall.

"Hm," she said. "Time to go already." Noiz began heading to the stage. She paused and turned to boys at the doorway. "Wish me luck!" she called.

"Luck!" the boys all yelled out. Noiz smiled and headed out on stage. Show time! The contest began as usual. Twenty-five women and girls all stood on stage waiting to be judged. Noiz stood towards the end looking out at the crowd. Rob sat in the front row smirking at her. He had the money in his hand for her. Noiz glared at him once again.

"I am so getting you after this!" she seemed to see with her eyes. But first, she had to get through this damn contest. The judges graded the ladies on the usual parts of the contest. Noiz rose through perfectly. So far, the bet looked like hers. Then came the question-answer part. The host came down the line asking the girls different questions. They all sounded so fake to the kitty. It just made her want to scream out loud. But she had a bet to win, so Noiz did her best to keep it all inside. That was until the host finally came to her.

"Johnson-san," he said to her. "If you could change one thing about this school, what would it be?" Noiz for some reason couldn't hold back anymore.

"I would get rid of useless pageants like this one!" she cried. Everyone looked on at her in shock. Rob looked at her in slight shock. (Why should he be completely surprised? He had been used to Noiz's antics by now. For him, this was just Tuesday.) Noiz didn't stop there. No sir! She kept right on.

"In fact, what the hell is the point to this stupid contest?" she asked aloud. "It's all just vanity on parade here! It's not like this contest is contributing to the school's funds anyway. I can think of at least eight things that the money put into this stupid farce! It's all so fake too! That's it! Next year, I'm getting ruin of the beauty contest for good!" Sadly, such a rant contributed to an all-out riot. Shocker, huh?

"So, how did I do?" Noiz asked Rob later that evening while she was at her laptop again. Rob shrugged a bit.

"Fine, until you went on a tirade about how useless the contest was and your plans to get ruin of it!" he said.

"That bad, yeah?" his kitty asked.

    "Pretty much," he answered.

"Hm," Noiz replied apathetically as she typed on. A paused passed between for moment.

"So," Rob spoke again. "Are you going to be staying with us?" Noiz turned to him smiling.

"You know what," she answered. "You oofs are really something! You'd probably fall to pieces without me! So hell yeah, I staying in Animal House for you boys and to stick it Artemis!" Rob looked up overjoyed. He rushed over to her and hugged his beloved tightly. Noiz just sighed happily.

    "Yes," she said. "You're welcome."

"You still owe me 95,537 yen," Rob whispered to her.

"Darn it!" his kitty hissed at him. "I was hoping you would have forgot!"

"Not this time!" the mouse spoke. Noiz sighed as he let go of her.

"Fine," she replied. "Hang on!" Then, the kitty opened her drawer, pulled out her check book, wrote the mouse a check for 95,537 yen, and ripped it out of the bed. She turned around to her lover.

"Understand this," Noiz spoke up. "In accepting this check, I will get you later! Just letting you ahead of time! Got me?" Rob nodded at her without any fear.

"Right," he said. The kitty gave him the check. Rob took it with a huge grin on his face.

"Nice doing business with you!" he called.

"Whatever," Noiz mumbled to him slightly pissed off. Rob kept grinning at her. He just loving winning against his beloved cat from time to time. Sure, she would kill him later. But all worth it in the end, yeah? Yes indeed.

Winning is Good!
