The Honda CB400F is truly a classic motorcycle. With a devoted group of enthusiasts, excellent durability, and many suppliers with NOS and reproduction parts, restoration and enjoyment of these great bikes will undoubtedly continue for some time.
400 Super Sports were made for only 3 years, 1975-1977, but have a world wide following. Some bikes are still daily transportation for riders, some are completely restored Sunday rides, and some are low mileage museum type bikes sitting in living rooms all over the world. No matter what condition a 400F is found in, it has a big FUN potential.
Model Years

Fuel tank and side covers are unit color (Candy Antares Red or Parakeet Yellow). Fuel tank has recessed cap with hinged cover. Fuel tank has stripes. Sidecovers have new 400FOUR logo. Raised handlebars, non-rearset pegs. Single braced front fender. Forward facing horn. Speedometer has mph and kph markings.
DID YOU KNOW....... That the 1977 US model CB400F is rarer (by a lot) than the sandcast 1969 CB750K0?! Approximately 7414 sandcast 750s were made, with only 5060 US-spec '77 400F's.
There are some differences between euro-spec and US-spec bikes. The turn signals on euro-spec bikes were the same smaller units as on CB350 twins and CB550 fours. The low handlebars, rearsets, and double braced front fender stayed for all 3 years. The euro-spec '77s had the fuel tank stripes but did not have recessed caps.
