My name is Butch Bronson. I am the owner of the 34z race car. For myself, my driver and our crew, this year will be our first attemp at racing in the cadet division. I have selected an experienced driver, Mike Zemcik, who for the past five years has driven in the spectator division. I feel that he is respected and well known among the speedway crowds, and his driving skills improve with each year.
The 1998 season holds Mike's best record of his spectator division career. In his division at Eriez Speedway, he finished a respectable fourth in points. He had seven wins throughout the year; four feature wins and three heat race wins.
This years car is a 1994 sizzler chassis. It is powered by a 385 c.i. chevy engine, and has an iroc camaro body. Moving up to the cadet division is going to be a challenge for all of us. It will be a valuable learning experience not only for me, but also for my driver and our crew. With time and patience, and a few races into the season, I believe we will show progress as well as potential.
