DAVE AND MAMIE'S POND PAGE

Hello, I'm Dave,I work in the concrete construction field and Mamie is a housewife. We live in a rural area outside Harrisburg,Pa.Welcome to our pond building experience. We started in early July of 1999 with nothing but an idea. Build a simple pond with a small waterfall. If you've put in your own pond you know that this changes many times before you are done. But then again,a ponder is never done. I've found that out.To this point we have built the pond that we had intended,added a stream and another small pond that we use as the filtering system. We've added lighting,six spot lights that shine on the main pond as well as malibu style lights along the stream and beside the bench to light our way at night. It is beautiful at night. We put down Cypress mulch and added ground coverage plants and others for color,blooming at different times of the year. Mamie alse is currently adding a bog garden behind the bench. A "bog garden" is like a pond but has holes in the liner to keep the area moist to allow growing plants that need a lot of moisture to grow.Pictures will be comming of that as soon as she gets some plants in it.

UPDATE
I received a new digital camera from Santa last Christmas and I will be updating the hole site. I will be moving all the old photos to an archive page so be patient and check back. Our pavilion project is under way also. Check back often. Please sign our guestbook or send an email and let us know our time is not wasted.
