All entries will be judged from actual work. Each artist may submit up to three works. Entry fee is $10 for Group A members and $15 for non-members.

Jurying and Judging:
All work must be ready for exhibition. Final selection will be based on the overall quality of the work and its relevancy based on the following underlying premise:

The visual arts have had a long-standing relationship with music. Artists respond to music visually, interpreting what is heard to what can be seen. Anyone who has closed their eyes to an intriguing song and imagined what it looks like has followed in this same tradition.

Much of the art that has been created in response to music follows the basic tenets of formalism: affecting viewers through the relationship among elements in the artwork (lines, shapes, colors, values, textures, volume and space). In the end, a work is created that is meant to be enjoyed for what it is -- art for art's sake.

Artists are invited to explore the relationship of music and visual art by creating work based on repetition and rhythm, employing the ideas of formalism and the relationship of elements within the work to impact the viewer.

Restrictions:
All work must be ready to exhibit. Any work that is not ready to exhibit or is not accompanied by instructions for installation (for work other than 2-D) will be rejected prior to jurying.
