Group A is an association of artists exploring abstraction in their work.

Group A was originally formed in Pittsburgh in 1944 as an artists' guild called, "The Abstract Group," and was one of the original guilds to combine their efforts and start the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.

In 1983, The Abstract Group reformed into its present day configuration and renamed itself, Group A.

As an association of artists, Group A provides exhibition opportunities for its members in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas, and fosters an active dialogue on the continuation of abstract concepts and practices.

Please explore this site for information on upcoming exhibitions and exhibition opportunities as well as resumes and select images of current members' work.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to receive more information about Group A.

Co-Chairman
