Welcome to Friends in Dentistry (FID). We are a
non-profit organization dedicated to connecting dentists around the world
in cultural exchanges. Created by Dr. Wm. Knickmeyer, a Wisconsin
dentist, FID is designed to allow dentists the opportunity to
experience more than just the sights of another country. The motto
"It's the people, not the places" holds true as we connect travelers with
hosts so that they may both experience and learn about another culture.
By simply filling out the online application, you are expressing an
interest in FID and will take the first step towards meeting a new friend
in the industry and gaining a valuable life experience. Follow the
