Club Trip to Coast

October 20 - 21, 2000 at Seaside

The trip to the coast is an annual event.  One night stay and dinner paid by Associated Fords of the Fifties. The coast trip is to reward club members who volunteer and participate in club activities through out the year.

To start off Saturday Evening Dinner, Tony Chamberlain gave a speech thanking everyone for all their help with this years Canby Swap Meet.  Many thanks to Sue Bakke and Ingrid Chamberlain!

After dinner, the club enjoyed their time on the bumper cars and miniature golf.  Dave and Lois Lestiko showed everyone how bumper cars should be driven!  Lois is the queen of the bumper cars!  You don't want to get in her way!

After the fun on the town, the club met in the meeting room of the Comfort Inn to play some Pictionary.  Barb Mersereau had some interesting pictures drawn.  Barb W. and Barb M. were leaders for their team.  The "Met's" a tribute to the Yankee vs. Mets game.

Yvonne Januzzi was on a role and winning many rounds for her team the "Yankees".  Laurie McKnight was  dynamite at drawing pictures and Kent DeVault always made you laugh!

Many thanks to Barb Wertz!  Barb Wertz did an excellent job with the logistics of this years Trip to the Coast

Club Get Together

October 11, 2000 at the Bomber Restaurant

20 members of the club attended the club get together dinner on October 11 at the Bomber Restaurant. There was lots of laughter and fun.  Dinner was in the Bomber Museum and the service and food were good.

Bruce Reddick sends his thanks to everyone who had an opportunity to attend the dinner.

High School Challenge for Year

2000 - 2001

10/18/00

The classic truck and car is one of the most exciting collectable of transportation.    Over the years many high school students have enjoyed the challenge of a classic restoration.

It is impressive to see the increase of high school students who step up to the plate. Many hours and hard work goes into the restoration of a classic truck or car.  It is even more impressive when the vehicles these students successfully restored are entered in the Portland Roadster Show.

Associated Fords encourages and acknowledges those students who are up to the challenge.

If you are interested in being a part of the challenge, please request more information about the High School Challenge to:
