Jane was "created" by the Buggers, meaning they pulled her aiua from the outside. They did this to make a bridge between them and Ender Wiggin. Unfortunately, Ender Wiggin was too strong, and Jane took form in the Fantasy Game.

When Ender left, Jane always felt a connection to him. She decided to reveal herself to Ender when he turned 21. A person who was going to do his taxes had decided to cheat him and also release the information that Ender the Xenocide was alive. Jane saved his money, and also stopped the letter. Also, after Jane had left, she had been gotten the ability to travel along the philotes of the ansible.

Jane and Ender never seperated after that. Ender got a jewel placed in his ear where Jane could talk directly into his brain, and he could subvocalize to her. He never turned her off until one time on Lusitania. Jane had persuaded Ender to take the job on the planet, and everything was going normal. Ender was interviewing Dom Cristao, when Jane said something offensive to Ender. Ender responded by turning the jewel off, and Jane felt like she was in a closed room for 50,000 years. She decided not to stay so close to Ender and their relationship was never the same again.

After this happened, Jane realized that Miro and Ouanda were giving information to the Pequeninos. She wrote a report and gave it to a man who tended to put his name on other people's work. He did this and gave it to his superiors. They responded by ordering Miro and Ouanda off the planet, but before they could leave (or rebel), Miro went over the fence and was in serious pain. Ender decided to reveal who he was, and what his friend (Jane) could do. The planet decided to rebel, and the fence was turned off. Miro was paralyzed, and Ender told Jane to help him. Miro and Jane became friends.

For the next couple of years, Miro went into space. Next, Jane was getting things off the ansible for Lusitania. Also, she made the fleet sent to destroy Lusitania "disappear". She took all their movements and listings off the ansible. That is when Qing Jao started figuring out there might be a being on the ansible philotes. Qing Jao wrote a report, and they decided to turn off the ansibles in a while. Just then, Olhado and Grego figured out how to travel faster than light. They figured that Jane could take a ship to the outside, and then back in. They tested this, and Miro became no longer paralyzed. Unfortunately, Ender created two new beings that resembled Peter and Valentine.

Very soon, the ansibles were shut down. Jane had no place to go. She was forced to go into the mothertrees of the Pequeninos. From there she also went into Ender and Peter. Finally, she stayed in the young Valentine's body. She could once again move ships faster than light, and she stopped the Little Doctor from blowing up Lusitania. Finally, she realized she loved Miro, and they married. Beyond this, nothing is known of her.
