Athletes from the Lancaster Ken Sei Kai Martial Arts Academy participated in the 2017 World Koshiki Super Karatedo Championships, held in London. That’s London, Ont., in a tournament with teams from Japan, Australia, Russia and Canada. The Lancaster Academy fared very well against their worldly opponents, with a good crop of medals, in various weight classes. There was a first-place finish, from Wyatt Rombough, in kata. Bryanna Rombough finished second in kata, while Kaytlin Andrews had a second in fighting (shiai) and third in kata. Eva Poulin placed third in fighting (shiai), as did Keirra Poulin. Jim Andrews finished fourth in fighting (shiai), with fifth-place finishes for both Mark Menard in kata and Nash Poulin in fighting (shiai). Paige Rombough was seventh in kata, as was Jack Edwards.
