TRINITY UNITED CHURCH

ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requires all companies or organizations serving the public to have in place a policy regarding access to the premises by persons with disabilities. Accessibility is not just about physical access to a building. It’s also about relating to and accomodating people who, because of disabilities (such as limited vision or hearing, for example) may have special needs.

In accordance with this legislation, Trinity United Church has drawn up an Accessibility Policy which can be read online, saved to your computer for later reading, or printed out. Also available online is accessibility training. This is a series of questions which you answer online, and can go back to whenever you wish. This training is of value even if you aren't involved in meeting the public, as it gives an insight into how to relate to disabled people.

We strive to improve accessibility for our participants with disabilities. We would like to hear your comments, questions and suggestions about the provision of our programs, goods, and services, to people with disabilities.

If you have attended a church service or other event on our premises, we encourage you to complete and return a feedback form. This form is also available on the table in the church narthex and in the church office, and when completed can be mailed, left in the church office, or with a member of the church board. You may also contact us by phone (705-864-1221) or e-mail to share your comments.

You will need Adobe Reader to open the Accessibility Policy and Feedback Form. If you don't have Adobe Reader, it can be downloaded free at http://www.adobe.com/acrobat/readstep.html.
