Super Easy Worsted Weight Yarn Towel Hanger to Crochet!

towel hanger

You will need:

White Towel, 15.5 x 14.5 inches (approximately)
Purple Dye
Small Metal Crochet Hook, size unimportant
Size H Crochet Hook
Red Worsted Weight Yarn
Large Purple Button

Dye the towel purple according to package directions, you can even throw other clothing in with it. I ended up with an awesome purple bra, pjs and a tshirt! LoL.

Using small steel hook, poke holes around towel, about every centimeter (every half inch or slightly less). 44 holes up each long side, 26 holes across bottom and top, including shared corners.

AROUND TOWEL:

Attach red worsted weight yarn to top of left side, ch 2, 2hdc in same stitch, hdc in each stitch, working down left side first. 5 hdc in corner stitch, hdc in each stitch, working across bottom. 5 hdc in corner stitch, hdc in each stitch, working up right side. 5 hdc in corner, hdc across top, 3 hdc in same stitch as starting, join to top of the first hdc. Chain 2 and turn. Approximate numbers are: 26 across top and bottom, with approx ½ inch between stitches, and 44 up and down each side, with about ¼ inch between stitches. Please note tho, if these numbers are off a little, that’s ok, you can modify your border to make it work if you need to.
