This section will cover the possibilities of standard and optional appearance items that BMW is preparing for the BMW M5(E39). The featured color chart represents the car in variety of color, most of which are existing BMW colors*. Colors 1-8 are and/or were available on BMW M3 (E36) as the standard color palette. Color 11 is a 5-series (E39) optional metallic color. Please note that this is NOT an official color chart and DOES NOT necessary reflect the actual color range of the new M5. Most of the hues on this chart are very likely due to their availability on other 'M' cars and 5-series cars... BMW is also expanding the Individual concept and the new M5 maybe a potential showcase for that division of BMW AG so many custom hues should be available through the custom BMW 'M' Individual ordering process.
