I lose myself in the dance
Everything I think and feel
Makes the adrenalin rush
Makes me sway, whirl and reel
The slippers will not stop
My breathing gets ragged
Emotions so raw
Feeling so jagged
Twisting, leaping with agility
Under a spell of total enchantment
Music filling my heart and my head
Losing control in utter abandoment
Using my body like a well oiled machine
Faster, faster, gliding, swaying
Exhaustion beckons and I brush it aside
