This was my first ever painting. I painted this as a surprise Christmas present for my brother and his wife. I didn't even tell my parents I was doing it, so I could ensure it was a complete surprise to all. I think it worked. Anyways, I believe this painting was a bit larger than 16x20, but I'm not positive. The picture I painted was my nephew sitting in the ocean in Aruba. He was perfectly content just sitting on the edge of the water and feeling it surround him as the water retreated back to the ocean. This was my first taste of painting though and I loved every minute of it. I especially enjoy the feeling I get from painting things for other people. It feels good to be able to create things like these...especially for family and friends.
