"Calvin"

Calvin's Pedigree

May 9, 2009: Calvin picks up his last CD leg with a
lovely 190 score at the Akron All-breed show.
He was just out of the ribbons in 5th place by 1/2 a point.

March 7 & 8, 2009: Calvin picks up back to back CD legs #1 and #2
at the Cleveland All-Breed Training Club Obedience Shows.
One more to go for that CD!

March 10th, 2007: Calvin picks up 1 pt going WD/BOS at the Marietta, Ohio Cluster.

July 15 & 16, 2006: Calvin finished up his PT title with two almost text book runs.
He did really well considering at the HT
test three weeks ago I was wondering if he was ever going
to be able to go further then a PT...
Now I'm actually thinking HSAs (maybe)....Good boy!

June 23 & 24, 2006: Calvin picks up his first title, finishing both 1st and 2nd legs on his HT.
He did pretty good for a silly boy
with his head in the clouds most of the time.
A little more maturity will have him working a more more consistently for a PT soon we hope.

Calvin lives up to his name as a wild man!
Unfortunately he also tends to go through life like the business end of a wrecking ball.

At 5 month old, Calvin cracked his skull playing rough on the back yard deck,
breaking bones just over his left eye and along the bridge of his eyebrow.
This crack got infected, internally, causing decalsification along the eye rim
and down along his plate in his mouth.
At 5 months old is not only a prime growth stage,
but prime teething time. The resulting antibioitcs
and the damamge to the bone have destroyed his teeth along that side
as well as his chances for showing in conformation.

If that was not enough for you, at 8 months old he
tried to take a bone from Austin, who then accidently grabbed into his mouth trying to grab that bone,
punching a hole in the roof of Calvin's mouth by
putting a bottom canine up into that busted pallate AGAIN!
At 10 month old Calvin jumped out of the van and left his left front toenail hung up in the crate,
ripping it out from the base and spraining his toe by twisting it backwards,
which he's been limping on, on and off, while the new nail grows back in...

I swear this boy needs a crash helmet, a flack jacket and steel toed paw protectors!
But he still lives life at 100 MPH so that he never misses anything.
Surprisingly enough, he still has completed his 1 leg of his HCT in November (with a sprained toe)
and his CGC the first week of December.

He also celebrated his first birthday on December 15th!
If we are lucky, he may actually live to make his second birthday this year, if he doesn't kill himself first!
He also shows a lot of potential for agility,
so that might be the next event we try in 2006!
We might try some minor conformation shows with him,
but I will probably not campaign him to any length now in conformation,
considering the amount of damage he's done to himself over the last year.
He's a lovely boy, but BOY he is a daredevil!!

Meet CALVIN the newest member of the LegendHold Clan.

This in your face boy is just increadible.
He's already showing signs of being a stellar performance dog
as well as one to sweep the conformation rings.
His pedigree is highly inbred on healthy genetics coming down from McMaur Collies.
He comes from Paula Lysingers Gold Hill Collies in Oregon.
Thanks Paula!

Like his name sake and the tagline for "Calvin Klein Jeans"......
Nothing gets between me and my GENES!
