This page is a compiling of all the fanfic ideas that have come up on the Dunne's Darlin's Mailing List. This page should be used as a reference point for anyone who would like to write a fanfic, but just can't come up with an idea. These ideas are all for JD fic, so please use them as such. Everyone is welcome to use any of these ideas, as many times as they want. I only ask that when you use them, please send me the story and a link to the story when it's finished. Also, please credit the idea to the person it's listed under. Thank you and I hope these help you!

These ideas all deal with the ATF alternate universe that Mog created. The ATF universe is set in modern day and the Seven all work for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

A Challenge By Co-List Moms, Leslie and Marla
Hi Darlins,
Your listmoms want to thank all the writers on this list for posting their wonderful stories! We thought that it might be a nice way to start the new year with some JD fic, so we're issuing this "challenge."
We're going to post a little scene that we want those who accept this challenge to incorporate into a fic, a snippet or a missing scene. We'd really like for the whole list to get involved (which means writers and lurkers ).
If you haven't ever written anything before, this is your chance and I know the whole list would LOVE to read whatever you write! If you're nervous about posting, you can always send it to me or Marla and we can post it under "an anonymous author." Also, if you would like some help with characterizations and/or betaing, send a message to the list, I'm sure you could find someone on the list to help OR if you want to remain anonymous, send a message to me or Marla and we'll ask for help on your behalf.
Here are the guidelines:
**** It can be OW, ATF or an AU
**** The scene can be anywhere in the snippet/missing scene/fic --- beginning, middle, etc.
**** It can be ANY length you want it to be - 2 pages, 5 pages, 10 or even an epic...whatever YOU want! (There is NO such thing as 'too short' )
We want this to be fun, so we'd like as many Darlins as possible to accept the challenge and write something.

Bunny's Ideas
Okay, for y'all ATF or even SI fans, I would love to see a crossover between Nash Bridges & M7... Only stipulation is it must have Cassidy... Any takers???
Jackie's Ideas
Who Wants to be a Millionaire? JD is a contestant on the most popular game show of the hour, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" This would be a really cute snippet. When it's time for JD to phone a friend, he doesn't call Buck but one of the other guys. Which of course would be upsetting to Buck and he wouldn't like that. How far will JD be able to get on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fan fic readers want to know.
A crossover with the TV show, "A Team." Maybe JD and Face both get kidnapped. This would make a really good Mag7 crossover.
A crossover with the new TV show, "Third Watch." JD and the others could be helping them out and JD is somehow hurt.
Jan's Ideas
I was reading a story in the ATF universe where someone suggested the JD might be underage but couldn't be or the state would have taken him. The story was "Taken for a Ride."
I had a strange, twisted idea of JD being undercover and finds himself, thru a long line of misunderstanding and mistakes, being placed in a foster home. The only problem is that he is making headway on the case.
Marian's Ideas
It's 10 o'clock, do you know where your child is? Buck falls asleep and either dreams or actually goes nuts when he can't find JD anywhere.
JD helps Buck with his laundry and everything comes out pink.
Sheela's Ideas
During a raid, JD somehow becomes blind. The other Seven try to reach an extremely depressed JD, who thinks that he will never his sight back, and who contemplates leaving the team.
JD witness a murder, but when he goes to show the others the body, it is gone. Everyone thinks that JD is just over tired, and they don't believe him. Soon JD is involved in soon minor accidents, and comes close to getting killed. When the Seven do start to believe it maybe too late to prevent something serious from happening.
Chris and JD are going to testify at a trial in Buffalo (it can actually be anywhere that requires travel by plane), and in route there, their plane crashes (it was actually sabotaged to prevent Chris and JD from testifying). Chris has to do everything he can to keep a seriously injured JD awake and alive until help comes.
Chris is at the office, and he is drunk (it is the anniversary of his family's death). Still drunk, he leaves the office. JD has to go back to the office to get a file that he forgot, and when he is in the parking lot, Chris hits him with the car. JD goes into a deep deep coma (and actually has an out of body experience). While having this experience his guardian angel(it could be his Mom) tells him he has three days (it can be any amount of days)to decide whether he wants to live or die. However, the guys are all fighting/divided because of what Chris did. Thinking that his "family" is ruined, JD decides he doesn't want to go on anymore. But just as he is about to turn into the light, Chris comes into his room (crying) and tells JD how sorry he is, and that he has gotten help with his alcohol problem. He begs JD to live because he can't stand to lose another person that he cares about. Touched JD decides to live, and soon after he has recovered, the team is a whole again.
JD is at the office working late (he is the only one there). As he is leaving, someone grabs him from behind in the parking lot. The next day when everyone is in the office (Buck was out on a date late and checks to see how JD was doing, and thought he left early for work)Chris calls them into his office where he shows them a video that the kidnapers left. When they view it, they find out that someone who has a vendetta againist the seven has JD (only they don't know who yet). This person plays a cat and mouse game with the rest of the Seven, as they frantically try to find JD before this mad person finalizes his plans for revenge.
JD some how gets injured on the job or in a motorcycle accident. He then becomes addicted to the pain killers that the doctor has prescribed him. However, none of the other Seven wants to admit that he has a problem. This puts JD's life in danger when he is on an assignment, or Buck could find JD at home and passed out due to an OD, causing JD to go into a mild coma. It can also set the stage for an intervention.
JD somehow becomes involved in and joins a cult. This would have the usual brainwashing type things that occur in a cult. The rest of the Seven would have to convince JD that the cult is bad and rescue him from there. (Could also be OW.)
In order to raise money for some type of charity, the boys agree to be a part of a bachelor auction JD will of course get the highest bid, upsetting Buck. The girl who bids on him soon becomes obsessed, and begins to stalk him. When she sees him with Casey she decides that if she can't have him, no one can.
