These ideas all deal with the Sevens Investigations alternate universe that Bunny created. The Sevens Investigations universe is set in modern day and the Seven are all private investigators. Also in this AU, JD and Buck are cousins.

A Challenge By Co-List Moms, Leslie and Marla

Hi Darlins,

Your listmoms want to thank all the writers on this list for posting their wonderful stories! We thought that it might be a nice way to start the new year with some JD fic, so we're issuing this "challenge."

We're going to post a little scene that we want those who accept this challenge to incorporate into a fic, a snippet or a missing scene. We'd really like for the whole list to get involved (which means writers and lurkers ).

If you haven't ever written anything before, this is your chance and I know the whole list would LOVE to read whatever you write! If you're nervous about posting, you can always send it to me or Marla and we can post it under "an anonymous author." Also, if you would like some help with characterizations and/or betaing, send a message to the list, I'm sure you could find someone on the list to help OR if you want to remain anonymous, send a message to me or Marla and we'll ask for help on your behalf.

Here are the guidelines:

**** It can be OW, ATF or an AU

**** The scene can be anywhere in the snippet/missing scene/fic --- beginning, middle, etc.

**** It can be ANY length you want it to be - 2 pages, 5 pages, 10 or even an epic...whatever YOU want! (There is NO such thing as 'too short' )

We want this to be fun, so we'd like as many Darlins as possible to accept the challenge and write something.

Now, read the scene.

Bunny's Ideas

Write a fic dealing with the episode "Vendetta" in modern times. Also have it take place during the Sevens Investigations Alternate Universe.

Rewrite the Pilot in modern times, using the Sevens Investigations Alternate Universe. Specifically where that crazy general from the first ep slashed Buck with the sword when he tried to save JD. How could that be put into context of, say, the Sevens Investigations Universe?

A ghost from Buck and JD's past has come back to haunt them.
What if their uncle, an evil, sadistic man, lay claim to the 17-year-old JD? Will Buck be able to save him in time?

Put the "Lady Killers" episode into the Sevens Investigations universe. How would things have happened differently in this modern AU? What if JD started getting suspicions about Maddie and Kate after the encounter in the barn? And suppose Casey had someone take her up on her offer,*not* one of our guys? Would she run, or go through with it to spite JD for what he had--- or at least she *thought* he had--- done?

Write a fic about how Sevens Investigations got started. Like, JD graduates from High School early or something, just as his cousin Buck is starting to get up a detective-agency with his old pal, Chris.

This idea is for a crossover between "Weird Science" and Sevens Investigations. It must go along with the "Weird Science" virtual season found here: Weird Science.Net! - 800x600 - (http://weirdscience.net) The challenge is, was Lyle real? Or just one of JD Dunne's covers? How will principal Chett handle this information?

A crossover between "Weird Science" and the Sevens Investigations universe. For this fic, Buck and Chett are buds, and JD and Wyatt are buds. This must take place either during the season Chett knew about Lisa, or the virtual season where they get a baby sister, Gosalyn, found here: WeirdScience.Net! - 800x600 - (http://weirdscience.net) Draw from how Chett was in the end of the episode "Chett Reborn"; he was like that in more, but that one was my fav. Wyatt and JD are kidnapped and Lisa's temporarily lost her powers. It might help to make it more dramatic if it follows the virtual season and has Gosalyn. Chett and Buck fly off the handle and they all try to find them before it's too late.

Do a crossover between Sevens Investigations and one of the following:

*The A-Team (Seasons 1 or 2, when Amy was still on)

*Magnum, P. I.

*Simon & Simon

*The High Chapperal (Since it's modern times, it'd just be Buck and Blue-boy, and they could own a garage or something)

*The Fall Guy (First seasons, with "Big Jack")

*The Sentinel

*Due South (Must use Francesca)

The characters from one of these shows have to work with the Seven on a case. It should be dark, and tie into the pasts of JD, Buck, and at least one of the characters you're using for the crossover Note: The Fall Guy, Howie and Colt are cousins, so it'd be both of them; same carries for all the others with realitives. Oh, and please no death of our guys.

Sevens Investigations Dream Sequence Fic:

JD falls asleep during an A-Team marathon, causing a strange dream where the Seven are like the A-Team.
