THE HANCOCK COUNTY
VETERANS SERVICE COMMISSION
Veterans Service Commissions have been established throughout
the country to provide for the needs of veterans and
their families. Veterans Service officers each represent
one of the five veterans organizations officially chartered
by the U.S. Congress: The American Legion, Amvets, The VFW,
Purple Heart, and the DAV. Commissioners are members of the
organizations they represent and are appointed by judges.
