Course Directions
We hope to have directions on how to get to the various meets here for you.
RIVER VIEW
Our first meet will be at River View. To get to River View go south on Interstate 77 to the Newcomerstown exit, Proceed west on State Route 36 to Coshocton and on to Warsaw. Watch for the signs in Warsaw and turn right when you see the sign directing you to the River View High School where we will run. Park in their parking lot and go to the back of the school near the stadium.
NOTE OUR HOME MEETS will be at our home course on the Tuscarawas Branch Campus of Kent State University. To get to the KSU Branch come to New Philadelphia from your location. Get on U S route 250 and proceed to the Schoenbrunn exit get off and go west heading into New Philadelphia on High Street. Proceed until you come to University Drive (near..just past... the Timken Research building.) Turn a sharp right on to University Drive. (If you come through town on High Street it is a left turn on to University Drive.) Turn in the first road to the right at Kent State Tusc. Campus. Proceed to the back parking lot to park your vehicle (bus).
Our second meet is at Newcomerstown's High School.
Take I 77 south to Rt. 36 west (Newcomerstown exit) Go about 1 1/2 miles west to the flashing light. Turn left and go to State Street (right before the bridge). Turn right on State Street and go west to River Street. Turn left on to River Street ( a school is on that corner). Go south on River t to Oak Street. Turn right on Oak Street and go one block to the high school. The high school is on the corner of Oak and Beaver Streets. There is a large parking lot to park in.
The next meet will at Walsh Jesuit High School
Take I 77 north to St. Rt. 8 North. Go North on St. Rt. 8 and get off at either the Graham Road exit or Steels Corner Road exit (Steels Corner Road had construction on it but is closer to the school) Turn left and go west on Graham Road or Steels Corner Road to Wyoga Lake Road. Turn right on Wyoga Lake Road. Procede about 2-3 miles on Wyoga Lake Road. Walsh Jesuit High School is on the left. Past the school you will see a drive into their parking lot.
Meadowbrook High School
Take I-77 south to the Byesville exit (the first exit south of the I-70 interchange. Turn right off the exit ramp and go into Byesville. Turn left at the first traffic light on to State Rt. 821 south. Proceed for about 2 or 3 miles to Meadowbrook High School on the right. Turn into the entrance road right in the center of the school grounds to the parking areas.
Brooke Invitational
Take U S route 250 southeast to U S route 22 east at Cadiz. Follow U S 22 from Stubenville into West Virginia across Veterans Memorial Bridge. Then take St Route 2 south to Follensbee. Go through Follensbee for about two miles. You will come to a red light. Turn left at the red light on to Bruin Drive. You will see the stadium on your right. You are there! ( NOTE: The Ohio River will be on your right as you go south on rt 2. The left turn you will be making at the light will be the first red light after you pass through Follensbee.)
Carrollton Vets Memorial Park
Take State Rt. 39 east to Carrollton. Turn left and go north on State Rt. 9. When you pass the fair grounds on your right and the concrete plant on your left begin to look for Brunner Rd. As Rt. 9 turns to head up hill you will see Brunner Rd. to the left. Turn left on to Brunner Rd.and travel about 2 miles to the Vets Memorial Park. You will see it on your right. Pull into their drive and to the back is a large parking lot.
Cambridge Developmental Center grounds
Take I-77 south to the Kimbolton exit. Turn left off the ramp and go up the hill. Turn right at the top of the hill on Old Route 21 and go south. Follow it to the Mental Health and Retardation Center. It will be on your right. Go to the second entrance (it is not in view as you see the first) and turn right proceed to the area set aside for parking.
ECOL CHAMPIONSHIPS (league meet)
When at DOVER Park.
Just go to Dover and follow Wooster Ave. north to their park. Turn right to enter the park. Good luck with finding a parking place somewhere in the park!
When at CAMBRIDGE use the same Cambridge directions from above.
When at MEADOWBROOK travel south on I-77 to the Byesville exit. Exit and turn right into town. Turn left at the light in the square and proceed south about 2-3 miles out of town to the school.
THE DISTRICT MEET
When held at Cambridge use the same Cambridge location given before. (In 1999)
When at RIO GRANDE UNIVERSITY (in 2000)
To get to Rio Grande I suggest you travel I-77 south to Marietta. In Marietta take St. Rt. 7 southwest to Gallipolis. Just before entering Gallipolis you should turn northwest on U. S. Rt. 35. Continue on it to the Rio Grande University exit. You should be able to see the Course as you enter the community. Good Luck finding parking.
The Regional Meet will be held at Lancaster High School
Take I-77 south to I-70 west to State Rt. 37 south (the Lancaster exit) Turn left off the ramp to go south on State Rt. 37. Proceed on St. Rt. 37 south to Lancaster High School (it is miles further south) The high school is on the left adjacient to and right after the University Branch Campus. Turn left into the large parking area behind the school.
