The tile shrinkage will allow room for installation and grouting. Shrinkage is

Handmade tile sizes, shapes, colors and thicknesses may vary from piece to piece.
We Offer an Extensive selection of Frame Designs.

in order to supply you with the frame and tile combination you desire. Prices may vary.
Change of frame style must be verified and confirmed by us prior to placing your order.
All of our tile frames shown require our tiles to be permanently

the back of the tile completely and permanently.
We Also Feature Exclusive Tiles Hand Crafted by
- Motawi Tileworks and Moravian Pottery and Tileworks-
Motawi Tileworks is a world-renowned art tile studio; Specializing
in handmade custom tile created in the Arts & Crafts style. Motawi’s aesthetic has been
heavily influenced by early 20th century art potteries. The influence of Pewabic Pottery in Detroit, Michigan, is very evident in their relief tiles. Motawi’s polychrome tiles owe a great deal to Rookwood Pottery of Cincinnati and Grueby Faience of Boston.
The Moravian Pottery and Tile Works was founded by Henry Chapman Mercer. Mercer was a leader of the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century. The Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, completed in 1912, produced tiles and mosaics for floors, walls and ceilings. Mercer’s tiles adorn buildings throughout the United States and the world. The Moravian Pottery & Tile Works continues to recreate Henry C. Mercer's original line of tiles in a manner similar to that of the early master. The current tile makers take that extra step to preserve the fascinating heritage left by this extremely talented and creative individual. The Moravian Tiles featured on our web site are recent creations. Each is unique to itself.
