Buffalo State College/Big Tree Elementary
Buffalo/Hamburg, NY
12 week student teaching placement. Responsible for producing and teaching lesson plans daily
to a class of 25 forth grade students. Emphasis was placed on successful completion of a
thematic unit that would aid in the preparation for the students to take the NYS Social
Studies Standardized test. Areas of instruction were in Math, Science, and Social
Studies; however, integration of all facets of learning was essential for a successful
learning experience.

Buffalo State College/Windermere Blvd. Elementary
Buffalo/Amherst, NY
12 week student teaching placement. Responsible for producing and teaching lesson plans daily
to a multi-cultural classroom of Kindergarten children. Classroom management,
instruction, and evaluation of students were among top priorities. Instruction included
areas of reading, writing (both with native born, and non English speaking students), language
arts skills, early computer literacy, and basic life skills.

3 day clinical - experienced all phases of blood collection including over 100 venipunctures, 60
skin punctures in both the in patient and out patient setting.

ROTC Canisius College

Weekly classes teaching military strategies and procedures, chain of command, knowledge of
different branches of the military including duties and responsibilities. Participated in
weekend outings that included (but not limited to) field training, combat and weapons training,
war tactics and survival techniques. Emphasis on discipline and leadership abilities.
