All of the lessons included in these links have been implemented and designed by myself in an actual classroom. When appropriate, pictures have been integrated to show student participation and enthusiasm.
I have been fortunate to have experience in diverse grade levels in the Elementary setting, as well as in very diverse classrooms that have helped to shape my lesson plans to tailor to the students' needs.
As well as having the opportunity to produce and implement many lessons from all subject areas, I have developed several thematic units in varied grade levels. I have also participated in a group effort of 5 teachers to develop a universal thematic unit on Native Americans of New York State to be used by all 4th grade classrooms in the school. The unit consisted of over 25 lesson plans, more than 30 activities, 12 learning center activities, and covered subjects in Social Studies, ELA, Art, and Mathematics.
Each lesson incorporates the New York State Standards and adheres to each individual school's curriculum and lesson format.
My objectives are clearly stated and integrate many subject areas to give students a balanced learning experience.
