Dale Harris, guitarist
Dale Harris was born in West London, in 1968. Initially taught the guitar from four years old by his father, Dale gave his first solo public performance at the age of seven. Dale has entertained the likes of the British Royal family and the Arch-Bishop Of Canterbury. Dale has even performed in Los Olivos, namely the house of the king of Spanish guitar, Andres Segovia.
Dale's solo concerts are an event to behold where audiences are often spellbound by his uncanny ability to create magic from just about any genre you care to mention. Dale is not only fully-trained classical musician who can reel-off any number of repertoire pieces both popular and obscure without pretense, but he can play anything from jazz to rock to ragtime or flamenco, country to Indian classical raga and all with an authentic flair for the style executed with a twinkle-in-the-eye sense of humour and a death-defying level of technique. Dale’s transcriptions of works such as Richard Wagner’s German opera Tristan And Isolde and Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody are fast contributing to his reputation as a heavyweight arranger-performer in the solo-guitar world.
Dale Harris has performed with The Lorne Gibson Trio, Roland Chadwick and Sir Cliff Richard. Dale performed with Sir Cliff Richard as his guitarist (June 29 2012, Windsor, UK). Sir Cliff has played with many fabulous guitarists including Hank Marvin and John Clark.
