Celebration Of Ģife

The Shell of Ģife

by:Chris

Ģife is nothing more than an empty shell,
When one is born,
Their shell is full.
Full of peace and purity and goodness;
But as the child grows older,
And learns more of this world,
This cruel, careless, evil world,
His thoughts of peace turn to thoughts of violence,
His thoughts of purity turn to thoughts of sex,
His thoughts of goodness turn to thoughts of evil,
And now his shell is empty;
Now he's ready to go out into the world,
He can go out and blend in and be "normal".

Comparison

by:Jeffery Bahr
Even if I choose
To put our lives

Like nightly news,
Like men abreast,
Like later wives,
Like every futile measure
Of one heart against another,

To the test of which and whether:

Lust will kill my calculation,
Chocolate to my startled tongue,
Circus to my restless nation,
Those with music still unsung,
Whose gray tales will not be told,
Who know darkness brings the cold.
