(Notes from Willow)

You'll notice several things in this story. I'm going to try to avoid actually using the characters in Drew Hayes' comic. There will be references to them, but they won't be direct. I'm trying something new here, for me, by just using the world defined by the comic, and not the main characters. It's going to be high fantasy, but with a twist. You'll also notice that it has chapters, which is kind of preumptious for a short story, but in this context it works. It's also narrated in first person, and with any luck in the past tense for the most part. That's how I'm starting it, and it may catch up with the present. I won't, say, have her be in the background while Luse blows someone's head off, but I might have her wander through Mandratha and hear about the psycho who killed off the Blood Guard, and the cop that turned villan, and perhaps their spectacular mage assisted disappearance just when the authorities had them in their clutches. But I'm aiming for her not to actually run into them, though she may encounter one or more of the minor characters- for instance, depending on how it runs she may meet Fleece, and she will almost certainly run into the half-clothed mauve manaic, and it's possible she'll meet Friedrich and Balinarch. I may even take liberties enough for her to meet the Nick, that creepy little doctor, the Order of the White Cow, or even Strider and Sapphire. Even still, enjoy it if you can, and ignore it if you can't. Amrahly'nn and associated characters, towns and concepts are copyrighted to Drew Hayes and used at one's own peril. I'm personally hiring a bodyguard. Any similarities to persons living or dead is just plain weird and should be regarded as such.
