Public Sponsorship
Sponsorship generally means that the student's fees are to be paid for by the sponsoring agency. Students may receive living allowances and / or book costs as well.
Typical sponsor agencies would be the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs, Vocational Rehabilitation Services (Ministry of Community and Social Services)
and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)
If you are currently receiving employment insurance benefits, you may qualify for various types of government support while attending school.
Students who wish to apply for governmental sponsorship must contac the
agency involved and request that authorization for sponsorship.

The Ontario Student Assistance Program, or OSAP, has a number of plans to help you meet the cost of full-time post secondary studies.
The amount of funds that may be approved by OSAP may not cover the entire cost of your tuition. OSAP is intended to assist you in meeting your education
costs, it does not replace your own financial contribution.
To apply for OSAP, you must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. You must also have a Social Insurance Number for your application to be processed.

Pending credit approval of your application, you will have low weekly payments and a 2-year payback period through pre-authorized payment approval (automatic deducation of amount from your chequing account).

Lifelong learning Plan (LLP)
The LLP allows you to withdraw a maximum of $10,000 per year from your RRSP to pay for your education. Withdrawal of the money from the RRSP will have no tax implications. The amount withdrawn must be paid back over a 10-year period.
