Pathfinder - Gold Camp Emblem

This year, we have six Pathfinders in our unit who are working on their Gold Camp Emblem. This is the final challenge the 3rd Year Pathfinders must complete in order to earn Canada Cord. Canada Cord is the highest award a Pathfinder can receive. In a special ceremony in September, all the Pathfinders in this Province who earn Canada Cord will be presented with this award by the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia.

For Gold Camp, the 3rd Year Pathfinders are in charge of their own tent teams. They plan "everything" for the "entire" weekend. The unit Guiders and Junior Leader attend camp and evaluate the Gold Camps. This is the first time we have used the Internet to organize our unit's Gold Camp work.

Gold Camp was held in May, and the Pathfinders completed their paperwork. Please see examples of their submissions below, as well as their thoughts of Gold Camp.

General Information For Guiders

To keep track of their progress, you can make a Gold Camp Status Report for the Pathfinders. A Summary of Camp Menus helps the Pathfinders to compare menus. To prepare them for camp, you can explain Information Regarding A Healthy Camp, as well as review a basic Personal Kit List and Team Equipment List. Finally, this Checklist may help you to evaluate Gold camp.
