That night
I remember that first night when we went out.
You were so beautiful and I wanted to shout.
Your hair, your eyes, your wonderful smile.
Made that night all worth while.
I was so proud, and happy as can be,
that you called me up to be with me.
I was nervous, I must admit.
But when I saw you I just had to submit.
The music was blaring, the sounds of a bar,
But being with you made them seem so far.
I was hypnotized by your gaze.
I was in that place, in oh such a daze.
I’m thankful that you called me cuz you loved me.
I’ve never been so happy till there was we.
I’ll never forget that night at the bar.
That makes my loneliness so very far.
