Leon Taylor is a running back and player representative for the Cougars. He's a 30-year-old veteran that is at the later stages of his career and beginning to question his future. Taylor has a wife and two kids to think about in his struggle to maintain his career. When the team decides to use their first round pick to draft an up-and-coming and overachieving running back named Demetrius Harris, Taylor begins to question his future more than ever. Throughout the season, Taylor deals with the owner's favoritism toward Harris, domestic problems, and a career in football that seems to be slipping away. With the help of his best friend and teammate, Eric Olczyk, Taylor makes an effort to deal with the shaky, uncertain future of his football career, preserve his good name in the community, and continue to be a good husband and father.
