Founded in 1988, The LITTLE LYRIC OPERA THEATRE was established to train the many young aspiring singers of Philadelphia. We provide our students a vehicle which allows them to gain singing, acting, and performing experience. Our students range from age six to adult, and many have gone on to earn scholarships to some of the most prestigious schools in our region:

Some of our students have won competition awards such as the Luciano Pavarotti International Vocal Competition, Aria Singing Competition, the Mario Lanza Annual Vocal Scholarship, and more. One of our young students (age 8) was chosen to sing with Celine Dion at the Core States Center in 1998 and also at Caesars Palace, Atlantic City in 1999.

Because we give our students as many opportunities as possible to perform in public, we produce several fully-staged shows each year.
